Sydney Smith is the author-illustrator of the upcoming Do You Remember? and Small in the City and the illustrator of I Talk Like a River by Jordan Scott, Inkling by Kenneth Oppel, Smoot, A Rebellious Shadow by Michelle Cuevas, Sidewalk Flowers by JonArno Lawson, The White Cat and the Monk by Jo Ellen Bogart, and Look-Out for the Fitzgerald Trouts and Knock About with the Fitzgerald-Trouts by Esta Spalding, among others. Sydney was born in Nova Scotia and has an Interdisciplinary BFA from NSCAD University. Children’s illustration has always been his full time passion but sometimes you can find his work in magazines, on festival posters or on album covers. Sydney also plays a little banjo, stands on his hands, and can ride his bike really fast.
